Input and Output Devices and their relationship with Human Body Parts

The Human body is the entire structure of the human organism that consists of parts that work together so that a human being can perform tasks. Each part has its own function and the absence or malfunction of a part can cause certain problems to the entire structure. Meanwhile, the computer also has input and output devices that function like that of the human body. These are some of them:

Computer Parts - Body Parts

1. CPU- brain
The Human brain receives the data from the nervous system, processes those signals and makes decisions about them and then sends them back to the nervous system again. In the same way, the CPU converts user typed commands into machine language which are sent to concerned parts for decision making and then sent back to the processor to convert them into a user language again.

2.Scanner- eyes
The eyes detect light and translates an inverse image into the real image. The scanner also translates the pattern of light and dark colors into a digital signal so that a certain image will be
transferred from the paper to the computer.

3. Speakers- mouth
The mouth, like the speakers, is where music and words come out to express ideas and emotions.

4. Microphone- ear
The ear helps the person understand another by detecting sound waves. In the same way, the microphone detects sounds so that the computer can understand and record the voices or sounds spoken by the user.

5. Cradles/DockingStations- nose
Just as the nose smells or detects scent, cradles also detects mobile devices which are inserted to it.

6. Keyboard- hands
The hands transmit signals from its sense of touch to the brain to be processed. The keyboard also transmit data and commands (input) to the CPU.

7. Mouse- finger
Both function as pointers and transmitters of signals or commands so that the body can respond to stimuli and the computer can respond to the user. The mouse assists the keyboard and the
finger assists the hand in doing so.

8. Monitor- face
The face show what the brains tells the person to feel. In the same way, the monitor displays what the CPU has processed.

9. Touch screen-skin
The skin is also as sensitive as the touch screen and it can receive impulses felt by touching. The touch screen also accepts data by touching specific places on the screen.

10. Printer- pore
Just as the pore releases sweat and oil which are products ofcertain body processes, the printer also releases or produces output through printing.

SWOT of Information Technology

S-trengths
Information Technology helps us deal with our daily tasks with ease. It helps us develop, store, organize process and transmit information. It has truly been useful in the field of medical technology for it aids in encoding patient's data for personal and professional use. It also helps in analyzing a patient's condition. It helps prevent and trace errors and it helps us save time.

W-eaknesses
Information Technology may be avant-garde but it costs a lot. Moreover, it can increase your electric bills. One needs computer literacy to be able to access it and not all people are educated in computers and other forms of technology. It can also promote plagiarism for information is made susceptible to all.

O
-pportunities Information Technology helps improve and prolong life. It helps clinical practitioners learn more medical techniques through research and be able to cure rare and deadly diseases. Through technology, communication with patients has also been promoted enabling discussion of medical data even between distant locations. In addition, we can also find jobs through the internet and in this way those hospitals which are in need will be provided with clinical practitioners and technicians to assist them in treating patients.

T
-hreats Information technology can err sometimes and the transmission of wrong information is a grave problem in medical work. It may endanger the life of innocent people as well as the jobs of professionals. If a certain technology will malfunction, this would mean additional finances and efforts to retrieve the lost data.

Mega brain

The world has evolved into the age of technology. Robots and laptops... cellphones and i-pods... these are the realities of yesterday's fantasies. Through technology, we are able to get through life's daily tasks effortlessly and are able to see through the portals of the future. With how much technology has grown into, we are undoubtedly coming close to the pinnacle of modern technology.

From beads to chips, the modern day computers had gone a long way. It has transformed from a simple computing device into an electronic device with seemingly endless capabilities. It has changed the way we work, the way we communicate and the way we live our lives. But no matter how amazing it is, we cant really say that the computer has the mega brain because because its central processing unit is but a speck of what the human brain can create. Charles Babbage, the inventor of the analytical engine...Ada Byron, the first computer programmer...Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft and all other inventors and programmers who seemed to be merely silhouettes of modern computers have the real mega brains. They are just ordinary people but had done extraordinary things in computing history. Through their efforts and undying determination, we are able to see the world in a different perspective and make what we think as impossible possible.

The mega brain truly is a powerful weapon which can create countless wonders but even our brains are nothing compared with the Creator. With the continuous development of technology, may we always use our God-given intelligence for the purpose of helping our fellowmen and to improve our lives for the better just like the inventors and programmers of the bygone. Possibilities are limitless and the future of technology leaves us curious at the edge of our seats.
